Wild Foods

We spend a lot of our spare time hiking through the area, enjoying being in nature, but also always on the hunt for wild foods to eat, to bring back to plant in our Food Forest, or just good ol’ fashioned fun identifying new plants together.

We have so many photographs of what we have foraged, information how we cook them, our successes & failures propagating them, and a growing wealth of knowledge, handed down to us from mentors & gained ourselves through research & experience……we look forward to organizing them all in this space & continuing to pass down what we have learned to those looking to join in on the fun. From PawPaws, Persimmons, Ramps, & the wonderful world of Mushrooms….its all waiting for you out your backdoor! How lucky are we to have such gifts available to us. We so look forward to sharing our passion for foraging with you!

See our upcoming class here at the farm, lead by Amanda Jo, on Foraging with Children, under the Events tab.
